Gender equality implies a society in which women and
men enjoy the same opportunities, rights and obligations in all phases of life.
Equality between men and women exists when both shares equal rights. At the
same time they must share equal opportunities for financial independence
through work or business. They must have equal access to education and the
opportunity to develop personal ambitions. Thus a critical aspect of promoting
gender equality is the empowerment of women by giving women more autonomy to
manage their own lives. Women’s empowerment is important for the realization of
human rights.

Liberty and equality are two
major boons of Democracy. These two vital aspects of human life are instrumental
to sustainable development and Enlightenment. But unfortunately there are
innumerable evil forces that destroy human liberty and equality. Those evil
forces which we call ‘corruption’ exist in countless forms. India is a sixty
two year old Democracy. Arising out of centuries of imperial captivity and
foreign rule, the Indian nation aspired for radical change under democracy. But
it could not achieve perfection. that is why it is important to examine the
drawbacks of Indian democracy. The research Paper seeks to reflect on these
drawbacks of Indian democracy in forms of maladministration, citizens being
deprived of liberty / equality, prevalence of injustice, and widespread
corruption.

Incidence of sport injury
could not be avoided but undoubtedly efforts may be implied to reduce their
number. There are numerous causes of sport injury which includes improper
warm-up, cool down, musculoskeletal problems e.g. less flexibility, weak
muscles, muscular imbalance, neuromuscular problems, co-ordination problems,
and technique related causes as improper playing technique, lack of knowledge
regarding rules, lack of safety measures and safety devices. Besides these
factors the role of fitness trainer, coach, and team-mates could not be ignored
in the occurrence of sport injury. Sport injury may range from acute to chronic
injury with mild, moderate and severe intensity. The athlete experiences pain
and other musculoskeletal related problems due to injury, but more importantly
the injury has an impact not only on the physical condition but also on the
psychological variables. The injured athlete has fear for remaining out of
competition and at times get totally devastated. Thus, there is a strong need
to focus on sport injury prevention strategies to optimize the sport
performance and to lengthen the athletic career. Keeping all these points in
mind, the present review paper has been framed in order to outline the best
strategies which could be coupled with sport to reduce the occurrence of sport injury.

Goods and Services Tax GST
would be a comprehensive indirect tax on manufacture, sale, and consumption of
goods and services throughout India, to replace taxes levied by the central and
state governments. The GST is a consumption based tax levied on the supply of
Goods and Services which means it would be levied and collected at each stage
of sale or purchase of goods or services based on the input tax credit method.
This method allows GST- or services as part of their normal commercial
activity. Taxable goods and services are not distinguished from one another and
are taxed at a single rate in a supply chain till the goods or services reach
the consumer. Administrative responsibility would generally rest with a single
authority to levy a tax on goods and services. This paper also highlighted the
features, Impact on the business of different sectors. Finally concluded
that companies may face initial hiccups
transitioning into a more complex tax mode, what is expected to follow is an
era of overall economic development.

Mass attenuation
coefficients of C-H-N-O materials based materials such as Crotonic acid,
Sapinic acid and Oleic acid were measured in the energy range 0.122-1.330 MeV.
NaI (Tl) scintillation detection system was used to detect gamma rays with a
resolution of 8.2% at 0.662 MeV. The measured attenuation coefficient values
were then used to determine the mass energy-absorption coefficients (men/r) and average atomic energy-absorption cross sections (sa,en) of the C-H-N-O materials based materials. Theoretical values were
calculated based on XCOM data. Theoretical and experimental values are found to
be in good agreement.

Vijay Tendulkar is a
versatile Indian playwright. He has crossed the regional boundaries and created
literature with global significance. He is a typical modern author who has
thrown light on the contemporary political, social and cultural issues
pervading the orthodox Indian society. He has put forth several problems
pertaining to the middle-class Marathi families. The power and violence
enforced by the patriarchy is thoroughly depicted in his plays. He travelled far and wide around India and
noticed the political, judicial, socio-cultural and personal violence against
women. It is reflected in his plays. Usually his lead characters are women who
are victimized by such institutions. Silence! The Court is in Session is a play
in this vein. It becomes the first significant modern Indian play in any
language to centre on woman as a protagonist and victim. The central figure,
Miss. Benare is the prey of the socio-cultural norms of the orthodox Indian
society. Everyone is jealous of the financially independent, new woman. They
abused her of immorality. All the dominant males along with the narrow-minded
Mrs. Kashikar join their forces together to subjugate her. In the process of
humiliating her, their own weaknesses are also exposed. The monologue portrays the suppression of Ms.
Benare which makes her rebellious. Mrs. Kashikar is also taunted for her
impotency.

Teaching
English through games is one of the best ways to provide entertainment when
learning a language. The main purpose of edutainment is to promote student
learning through exploration, interactivity, trial and error, and repetition in
such a way that students get so lost in the fun, that they do not realize they
are learning at the same time. Classroom environment, inclusion of student into
the environment, methods which can be used in education by entertaining,
experiences and its effect on success are important factors which lead to
learning experiences and lesson success. Teachers need to be sure that they are
teaching their lessons by taking students’ characteristics into consideration
and their immediate needs such as having good time in the classroom. Thus, they
need to create and develop such activities in view of students’ needs for fun
coupled with learning, without confining themselves by doing whatever is
provided in the curriculum step by step just as we observe in a formal
classroom environment. English is an important language which is taught at the
entry level in various colleges or universities in India. This paper aims to
highlight the relevance and effectiveness of Edutainment approach in English
Language Teaching.

areas of rural India. He “wanted to do so without sentimentality or portraying
