Buddha and His Dhamma is
undoubtedly saga of the Buddha. But it also
include many female characters of importance without whom the story of the great Buddha remains incomplete.
Female characters in this discourse play an important major role in the entire
journey of the Buddha. It may not be an
exaggeration to state here that female characters help to carve the complete
character of the Buddha. Salvation of these female characters not only
underlines but also glorifies the image
of the Buddha. Sketching such characters in Buddha and His Dhamma must have been a difficult task for Dr.
Babasaheb Ambedkar. It was quite challenging the to narrate, compare and
contrast these female characters. But
the keen acumen of the great architect of the Indian
constitution successfully presented
female characters in a very befitting
manner. Dr. Ambedkar remains a life long
supporter and champion of women liberation and there is a must curiosity to know the characterization of female characters in Buddha and His
Dhamma. Flat and round, both types of characters can easily be seen in this
work but writer has succeeded to sketch them in suitable manner maintaining their dignity.
Key words : Buddha and His Dhamma, magnum opus.

Educated unemployment is a worldwide phenomenon
and it is one of the menacing problems of India over a number of decades. Young
men and women after finishing their education, find it very difficult to get a suitable
employment for them .It is an economic malady and social curse. In this
paper we look at the issue of education, skill formation and unemployment among
youth in India, focusing specially on educated unemployment. We study the
reasons for this situation which has reached an extreme level and also see the
impact of it suggesting some probable measures for improvement. We find that
the current education system in India has some blame to take in focusing more
on the theoretical aspects as also the lack of vocational training. This
problem can be eradicated when the youth are trained right from the schooling
level for practical application of their skills. Improvising the industrialization
so as to benefit the citizens assertively will also reduce this phenomenon
faster.

‘Social Media’ is a phrase in fashion and we love
to throw it around as a certificate of our social status these days, often to
describe what we post on web pages being used as interactive tools in form of
sites and applications like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and others.
The term ‘Social Media’ is used so vaguely that, it can be used to describe
almost any website available on the web today. To be more specific or to get a
clearer understanding of it its better to break it down into simple terms and
examine each one of them individually. The term ‘Social’ refers to the
interaction with others members in the society by means of sharing the
information we have and gaining the information they would like to share with
us directly or indirectly. The ‘Media’ refers to the mode or instrument of this
communication which in this case is a social networking site or its customised
application on the internet or the web. Putting them back together, we can
define ‘Social Media’ as a web based communication tools that enable people
from the same society or a social network to interact with each other by
sharing and consuming information. Thus Social media has both its positive and
negative impact on language and this article aims in putting forward the same.
Keywords: Social media, language, impact, positive, negative.

It is an undeniable fact that women have been
neglected throughout the ages and the so-called civilization is man-centered.
The issues of women and the attitude of society regarding the place of women
are reflected in the short stories of many Indian writers. Women's predicament
in the face of male supremacy has been the subject of many writers. The early
writers whether they were Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali or Indian English, all of
them presented the suppression of women in their stories. In Hindi Premchand,
in Bengali Eswara Chandra Vidya Sagar, Sarat Chandra Chatarjee, Tagore and
others wrote about women and they revolted against the social oppression on
women.
