The 21st century has proved to the world that English literature is no
longer the sole province of the imperial England. Although English literature
started and flourished in England, it has gone on to sow the seeds of
creativity in English in other parts of the world. Interestingly, the English
people themselves paved the way for the unexpected developments that we witness
today. When the English colonizers went to America, they began to write their
own literature of the Americas. Similarly, those English men and women who went
to Australia began the process of a new literature called Australian
literature. And so is the case with Canada, India, and Africa. With
colonization in some parts of the world, especially, Africa and Asia, there
emerged a new literature which later came to be known as the Commonwealth
literature, New Literature in English, postcolonial literature and so on. Not to
be left out, even those countries which were not colonized by the English like
Bhutan, China, Iran, Japan, Thailand, and Nepal started their own literature in
English. Gradually all these literatures in English have come to announce that
here is a different kind of literature but in English. The pinnacle of such a
literature is Salman Rushdie's Midnight's Children winning the status of the
double Booker Prize novel. These trends were expected and started growing in a
similar fashion.

The biotic and abiotic factors greatly influence the cultivation and
yield and quality of mushroom. Fungi, bacteria, viruses, nematodes, yeast,
mould, insects and mites are the living causal factors whereas water,
temperature, pH, moisture and relative humidity are the non- living factors.
Sometimes, these non-living factors exhibit similar symptoms like the living.
Solution of such problem is gradually done on basis of the personal practical
experiences. Both factors influence similarly in different growth stages of
mushroom. The factors are determined by the abnormal mycelial growth resulting
in fewer yields. In mushroom cultivation, this is most essential to know about
the living causal factors like mode of entry, the source of its infection,
stage of infection and the mode of infection spread or expansion.

Viramma’s Life of an Untouchable is a multifaceted work which needs to
be explored from various angles. It’s not only a treatise on Dalit literature,
but it should also be read as a feminist text, a gender study, a cultural narrative,
a linguistic treasure and so on. It’s
the story of an untouchable, an honest description of the lives of a people who
are now classified as Dalits. Viramma never calls herself a Dalit woman
although her son keeps correcting her all the time but this is what which makes
the text different from others. She prefers to call herself a Paratchi a word
that she thinks defines her and her community with more subtlety. Besides,
Viramma is a trained mid-wife and a powerful folk singer who can sing all kinds
of songs sung on different occasions like death, marriage and puberty and
perhaps this very quality of her must have attracted Josiane towards her.

necessity of it lies in the very basic nature of the human being, reason being
that human being is a ‘Social Animal’. It shapes the human, gives him birth,
transforms him, guides him, promotes him and gives him direction to work and
develop. The motive of the life fulfils only when the human being adds
something to the betterment of the society. For an individual to completely
harness his potential he needs to have a harmonious atmosphere in the society
of which he is a part. This can happen only when he is acceptable to the
society of which he demands a space. This research paper will explore the necessity
of the peace, harmony and trust within the society and a continual maintenance
of it as a matter of right of every individual for his human growth and
development and realization of his full potential, and to the ultimate
